Our informational meetings have been a great way to meet our neighbors and to share information. See samples of flyers.
We have also partnered with state organizations to host educational and informational programs about water conservation and other impacts from hyperscale data center development.
We have some of our local neighbors working as a lobbying team at the MN State Capitol. They have joined forces with other lobbying groups working to bring awareness to our state leaders, hopefully to enact legislation to regulate this industry.
Residents take action
Learn as much as you can. First and foremost, YOU need to understand the impact that these new industrial sites can and will impact your neighborhood or community. Read the articles we have shared on our webpages. Google “DATA CENTER” and you will be surprised at the recent news about these huge complexes.
Join us by asking questions, sharing our information, donating to support this website and legal action.
Contact your local elected officials, legislators and regulatory agencies and ask them to slow down these fast paced developments. Ask them to learn more and to consider the impacts to communities, wildlife, natural areas, energy, our health and water supplies. Ask them to put in place safeguards and controls to protect us - residents and the people that elected them.
Is this happening in your community? Contact us - we can share templates of meeting notices, Facebook ads, yard signs and letters to decison makers. Let’s tackle this together! Email us at info@datacenterresponsibility.com
